Manufacturing, engineering and fabrication

ISCA continues to implement and expand its manufacturing and engineering capability to compliment our existing product and services. And most important of all our clients requirements.

Our well equipped tool room, engineering and polymer experts can fabricate a wide variety of products, components and mechanical equipment from a variety of materials including stainless steel, brass, metal, alloys, plastics and rubber.

We manufacture, high tolerance, high quality plastic injection moulded components, machined components, bespoke parts. We also conduct specific retro-fit or refurbisment and repair programs for Department of Defence, Medical industry, Mining industry, Oil & Gas industry and Aviation/Airfield lighting for Commercial & Royal Australian Air Force bases.

Moulding

  • ISCA are currently trialing Metal Injection Moulding In House
  • With our design team we fully intergrate die designs in-house using Pro-E & Autocad, from rendered part through too mould layout.I.E hot runners, gate design, in die heating/cooling
  • Clamping from 65 to 180 ton rating

Ultrasonic welding

  • Ultra sonic welding capabilities all in a clean room environment

Micro Printing

  • Pad Printing (Micro Printing) capabilities

Machining

All these high quality components using up-to-date CNC machining, 5 axis machining centre technology and injection moulding machines, which we continuously upgrade and maintain.

Manufacturing

  • Five injection moulding machines are housed in an air conditioned environment to provide the best process control and quality for high end products
  • In house tooling (tool making) and machining allow the best possible turn around on moulds and components
  • In house rubber moulding in specialty rubbers also provides the best possible turn around for customers.

ISCA is a company who can provide you with a complete package of sealing, moulding, & mechanical knowledge across a vast range of industries, from on-site to in the office, our design team can help you troubleshoot, problem solve or help you develop your product from concept to a market ready item.

Prototype development

Research is invaluable because it can test the viability of an idea before you proceed. After establishing viability during the research phase, you can transfer that knowledge to a formalised brief for development (design and prototyping).  The basic requirement for prototype usually falls into the following groups:

  • design test
  • compliance
  • functional test
  • destructive testing
  • marketing.

Technology has moved on significantly in recent years, allowing product developers to model and test materials and design in computer-based design and modeling software. Industrial designers/engineers can transition design drawings and material specification from Computer Aid Design (CAD) to Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for engineering testing. In some cases this has reduced iterative physical prototyping, development costs and materials wastage.
